Assessment

 Assessment in Competency based curriculum is both Formative and Summative.

Formative Assessment occurs on an on-going basis and focuses on monitoring learning. It provides direct and detailed feedback to both teachers and students,regarding the performance and learning.

Summative Assessment focuses on evaluating learning. Its purpose is to check the knowledge of the students. Using Summative assessment helps to evaluate students learning at the end of an instructional unit to determine the level of accomplishment attained.
